Please note that this event takes place at Multnomah Arts Center Auditorium, 7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR. How can the Freedom From Religion Foundation and concerned citizens preserve our secular government in the Trump-Pence era? FFRF co-president Dan Barker will discuss major church/state separation challenges now facing our nation and how we can rise to meet them. Topics include FFRF’s major lawsuits and victories, as well as lobbying efforts to preserve the Johnson Amendment, discourage school vouchers and educate Congress about the rising power of secular America. DAN BARKER is co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and co-host of Freethought Radio with his wife, Annie Laurie Gaylor. Famously a preacher and Christian musician for 19 years before losing faith, Barker has discussed atheism and politics on numerous national TV and radio shows. He is the author of the popular books Losing Faith in Faith: From Preacher to Atheist and The Good Atheist: Living a Purpose-Filled Life Without God. This event is free and open to the public.
