Winter Solstice Party and Potluck

Primary tabs

Wednesday, December 21, 2022 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Come join us on Wednesday, December 21 at 4 pm in the friendly confines of the Jefferson Center space in the Old Ashland Armory (208 Oak Street, Suite 101) as we revive our Annual Winter Solstice Party and Potluck. Enter the Armory through the side door down the ramp on the north side of the building.

As the American commercial/religious holiday season approaches, we turn attention to the actual "reason for the season," which is the tilted axis of the earth relative to the sun. Be prepared to enjoy good food, hear a few interesting tidbits about the solstice, and have a great time with like-minded folks.

Please bring a potluck dish to share (main dish, side vegetable dish or dessert) which serves 6 to 8 people along with your own tableware (plate cutlery, and beverage container, preferably non-disposable). Wine, water, some snacks, and some soft drinks will be provided by the Jefferson Center.

Also bring one or more of your favorite games that can be completed in a relatively short time and battery-powered candles. Maybe we'll have a spooky moment.

This party, like our salons is open to all friends of the Jefferson Center. Feel free to invite people who might be interested in learning more about the Center.
The Jefferson Center looks forward to seeing you for an evening of fun and camaraderie.

Please RSVP to Tony Davis tonydavis0@gmail.com telling what you'll bring so we can do our best to provide a varied spread.
