Last year the Jefferson Center organized a fun Halloween party via Zoom. We're doing it again! The COVID-19 pandemic has not yet disappeared but we can still enjoy time together.
Spooky party themes:
1. Halloween is about demons, followed by All Saints’ Day. Which demon or evil vice is especially interesting to you? Can you imagine a costume (or, at least, part of a costume) for it? Or are you partial to a particular virtue, perhaps a Saintly virtue? Is there a vice you like, or a virtue you wish to discredit? Wear something in your hair, or make a comedic face, and take a turn giving a few words about a vice or virtue important to you. Think about a quiz question you could pose to the group about your chosen vice or virtue. We might have a guessing contest to see who can identify the virtue or vice which you have chosen.
2. What is a superstition? Do you think people should believe, or discard, superstitions? Why? Let’s share some ideas…
3. We’ll also show scenes from well-known Hollywood scary movies, and see who is able to name the movie from which each scene is excerpted. Vertigo? Psycho? Dawn of the Dead? Underworld? The Texas Chain Saw Massacre? The Exorcist? The Amityville Horror? Friday the Thirteenth? Jesus Christ, Superstar?
We’ll merrily dig deep into each other’s brains while gorging on our own favorite foods and beverages. Neck bolts recommended for the lightheaded. Safety first.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, the 30th!
