The Salon this month at The Jefferson Center will be “End of Life Exit Strategies” given by member and retired physician Bill Southworth. The discussion will include tips on preparing an advance medical directive, the legal and religious impediments to self-deliverance, the ethical implications of a caregiver’s role, the meaning of “assisting” a suicide, the impact of Oregon’s Death With Dignity law, as well as other methods and sources for self deliverance. Refreshments and social time will begin at 4pm and the talk shortly thereafter.
