The New Scientist discussion group meets monthly, currently via Zoom. We usually meet the second Thursday of the month at 4pm-6PM. Please join us if you enjoy lively discussions of current topics in science, and the role of science in society.
Each contributor is invited a share a news item they've discovered about an advance in science. All topics in current research are welcome. Our topics range from medicine to biology, biochemistry, anthropology, climate, geology, space exploration, astronomy, the frontiers of physics and more.
Though our title derives from the popular New Scientist magazine, we draw from many other science publications. We've been learning from a diversity of sources as each person brings something new to our around-the-table conversation.
