Brain Books: "Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon," by Daniel Dennett. Dennett is the great philosopher of (non-) religion, writing in 2007 about why and how religion became so influential in human society, “looking beneath the veil of orthodoxy.” The Brain Books discussion group is open to all.
